Hedwig M. Auletta

Bio:

Ms. Auletta, a native of Queens, New York, was graduated from Marymount Manhattan College, magna cum laude, in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts in history and modern languages.

She attended Fordham University School of Law and was graduated, cum laude, with a Juris Doctor in 1986.

After serving as a confidential law clerk to United District Court Judge John T. Elfvin, Ms. Auletta joined the law firm of Damon Morey, LLP as an associate.  She worked at first in the Commercial department and then for many years in the Litigation department specializing in personal injury and professional malpractice defense.  She has practiced in both Supreme Courts and Appellate Courts throughout New York State, including the Court of Claims and the Court of Appeals.  

Currently, Ms. Auletta’s practice area is primarily medical malpractice defense.

Ms. Auletta also serves as a volunteer mediator for the United States District Court for the Western District of New York.

She has served on the Board of Directors for the local chapter of the American Red Cross and has been a Trustee at her parish for many years.
