Mark D. Arcara

Bio:

Mark D. Arcara is a civil and criminal trial attorney with primary experience in the handling of complex cases in Federal and State courts of original and appellate jurisdiction.

Mark’s practice includes the defense of medical, hospital, and nursing home malpractice; environmental and toxic torts; casualty; catastrophic personal injury; and criminal defense. Although Mark has been in private practice for more than 15 years, he also worked 5 years as an Assistant District Attorney for the County of Erie. As a prosecutor, Mark successfully handled every level of criminal offense from initial arraignment through trial.

Mark is a graduate of Villanova University and the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law. He also attended the International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Advocacy Program.

Mark is admitted to practice law in New York State, as well as, United States District Court in the Western District of New York and Northern District of New York. He is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Erie County Bar Association, DRI, and the Western New York Trial Lawyers Association.

Mark has been peer-rated as AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell. He has also been recognized as an Upstate New York “Super Lawyer” in the areas of medical malpractice defense, environmental litigation, and personal injury defense.

Mark is the past President, Vice President, and Board member at the Buffalo Ski Club. He has also previously served as a member of the Erie County Bar Association Judicial Rating Committee.
